As medical director of Serene Renewal, I find using a more natural approach to aesthetics helps boost self esteem and provide safe and effective treatments for women of all ages. Our skin care products are made with ingredients which are "clean" and safe. We utilize procedures which enhance your own collagen and elastin formation from the inside out. Markel Owens, MD
Dr Owens joined our medical staff July of 2022. She has over 15 years of experience and provides gynecology consultation and surgeries as well as spa procedures at our Maryville location. She is well known to this community and provides excellent care. For the medical spa, she will be performing injectables like Botox/Filler, but also provide bioidentical hormones to our clients, including pellets/creams/sublinguals.

Sami Munro, NP joined the Serene Renewal team in June of 2023 and provides consultation and treatments for Bioidentical Hormone therapy for men and women generally in the form of creams, sublinguals, or pellets. She also provides Coolsculpting, and supervised weight management. She is a skilled injector for Botox/Jeuveau/Dysport and Fillers and performs new patient consultations for the medical procedures done at the medical spa.

Angie Schmitt is a licensed aesthetician whom helps you determine the best skin care regimen that suits your needs. During your visit, she will evaluate your skin and determine the best methods for treating your skin with various tools and techniques available at Serene Renewal. Her skill in dermaplaning and microneedling has helped many clients over at Serene since 2019. She hopes you will trust her with your skin for a relaxing, refreshed and renewed experience.
